Puzzle split

Divide the box into two printable parts with dovetail joints and a 0.3 mm seam gap. Preview shows the joint. Download provides a ZIP with both parts; slide them together vertically. Print a small joint sample to check fit.

Stacking lip

Adds a 4.4 mm stacking rim. Overall box height includes the rim. Standard stacking uses 42 mm cells, 3.75 mm box corners and room around the pockets. Physical stacking fit needs a printed check.

Box colors the walls, rim and underside. Pocket floors colors only the bottom of each recess, using a 0.6 mm color layer. This is one tray, not a removable insert. Download 3MF to keep the colors; assign filaments in your slicer. STL contains no colors.

Upload one photo of the EMPTY chessboard. Keep the sheet flat and all squares sharp. This checks the board geometry; work-mat markers provide perspective alignment. A single photo does not calibrate lens distortion.
